Carmen A.'s Story
Life
I still have my yearbook and look at it to identify the people that have their names up on the site for Eastern in '66. I am now a grandma and can still remember that we sung "I believe" as our graduation song. Those were the days my friends we thought would never end (wait isn't that a song? Hahahahaha!!). I'd love to hear from any of the people that graduated from Eastern that year. We have to get together for a reunion of the '66 graduates. I live a wonderful, sedentary life in a small town in Florida and believe I am one of the luckiest and most blessed person I know.
I would love to hear from the people that I worked with while in the Navy. I was so in love with Phillip J. Smith a Yeoman in the Navy while I was stationed there. I wonder what became of him. It would be nice to know after so many years.
I was a part of company 28 in boot camp but got sick and had to have my appendix removed so I ended up graduating boot camp with company 30. I still remember a lot of the faces I just ca...Expand for more
n't remember the names except for a couple. There was one named Zimmerman from Hawaii, and another one named Colacola from New Jersey. I wish I had gotten there names with some comment on each one of them. I'd love to hear from any of the many wonderful people that I have met and had contact with through the years.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Terri Brinsfield, because she was such a true and dear friend. Unfortunately, she passed away in June of 2008. I will miss her always..
My current age is 62. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old thinkers, and out of touch, but,. I was so completely wrong, LOL.
My oldest friend is Lucila Rodriguez. We met in tenth grade, both of us were 15 at the time. We clicked immediately and since then we have been very close. We have shared lifes ups and downs and always have believed we could never not be friends. I love her dearly and her children as well. I hope we will always share this wonderful friendhip.
